Fundraising campaigns
The Slow Food Foundation organizes a range of fund-raising initiatives. These are small events for the public which can provide significant financial resources when multiplied across the Slow Food network.
Help the Women of Mauritania
In 2007 and 2008, for examples, Slow Food convivium leaders joined the initiative Help the Women of Mauritania. A kit comprising paper and audiovisual informational material about the Imraguen Women’s Mullet Bottarga Presidium and a supply of bottarga was sent to about 15 convivia, who organized theme dinners during which funds were raised to help the development of the project.
