A coalition for Slow Food Presidia: presentation of the project of a coalition of cooks for the promotion of Slow Food Presidia products

The Chamber of Commerce of Turin, the Chemical Laboratory, University of Turin (Department of Agronomy), Agroselviter and Torino Wireless present a project to improve mountain dairies

Conference – “Green Hills of Africa. Honeys of the Ethiopian highlands and West Pokot Ash Yogurt producers”
Participation by producers. Followed by honey tasting

2.30pm –San Rocco Church
Conference – “The PIEDMONT project: how to use information technology to enhance food and wine quality”
Led by: University of Turin (Department of Informatics), Telecom Italia, University of Gastronomic Sciences and Slow Food

Taste workshop – “Noble mountain tomas (mountain pasture castelmagno, sheeps tuma of the Langhe, Brigaschi sheep toma, bleu de Queyras, Tomas of Mont Viso) blended with the flowers and fruits of the area”

Conference – “The Langhe rediscovers a breed and its cheese”
Presentation of new producers of the Langan Sheep Tuma Presidia and cheese tasting

Monday 21 September

10.30am –Politeama Theatre
Charity auction of traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena aged 25 years
Proceeds will go towards Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity projects in Kenya.

11.00am San Rocco Church
Taste workshop – “Successful pairing: selecting the best cross-border combinations of cheeses and jams, honey and fruit”
Organized as part of the European project, ‘Promo Terroir’

2.30pm –San Rocco Church

Conference – “Presentation of the project for improving the wool of indigenous Italian breeds” (in particular the Sambucano Lamb Presidia), led by the Biella Chamber of Commerce
